Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-09-02

daylumi is a visual day planner for children. We process as little personal data as possible and store your child's planning data locally on your own device by default.

1. Who we are

daylumi is the controller for data processed through the app and website. Contact: hello@daylumi.ai.

2. Data we process

Account data: your email address and authentication data, needed to sign in.

Subscription data: trial or subscription status and payment references held by our payment provider. We never store card details ourselves.

Child data: name or nickname, avatar, optional birthday, and the day plans, routines and pictograms you create. This data is stored in your browser or device storage and is not kept centrally on our servers.

Technical data: limited logs for security and debugging.

3. Why we use it

To provide your account and access to the app, manage your subscription, offer support, and keep the service secure and stable.

We do not sell data and never use child data for advertising or profiling.

4. AI features

When you use an AI feature such as activity suggestions or chat, the text you enter is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. Avoid entering sensitive medical information or full names.

5. Legal basis

We rely on performance of the contract (your account and subscription), our legitimate interest (security and improvement), and your consent (non-essential cookies).

6. Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account data is removed and all locally stored child data on that device is erased. Data we must keep by law, such as invoices, is retained for the legal period.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port your data. You can delete your account and all child data yourself under Settings in the app.

Questions or complaints can be sent to hello@daylumi.ai. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

8. Children

The app is managed by a parent or carer. Children do not create accounts themselves. You decide what information about your child you enter; a nickname is enough.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email.
