When your child does not know what comes next, an ordinary day can feel hard
An unexpected transition, a changed plan or too much explanation at once can create tension. A simple visual order makes the next step clear, without judgement or pressure.
Less uncertainty
Your child sees what is happening now and what comes next.
Less repeated explaining
Pictures and short steps offer support throughout the day.
Changes become visible
You update the plan and look at the new order together.
You decide what fits
daylumi makes suggestions; you choose, edit and approve.
When daylumi really helps
Not only at the visual board at home. Take the same familiar visual structure into every moment and every place.
During the morning rush
Show getting dressed, breakfast, brushing teeth and leaving step by step, without explaining everything again and again.
When plans suddenly change
Swimming is cancelled or Grandma is picking up? Make the change visible and immediately show what will happen instead.
On the road or train
Show where you are going, what happens along the way and what your child can expect on arrival.
On a weekend or day trip
Take the day plan with you without a visual board, loose cards or a folder full of laminated pictograms.
During a holiday
Make an unfamiliar day recognisable with familiar people, places and activities, even when you are far from home.
At a difficult transition
Use now/next or first/then when it is time to stop, leave, eat or go to bed.
Try it yourself
You say it. Your child sees it.
In parent mode you plan in plain language — daylumi turns it into a suggestion you confirm. Switch to child mode to see the day or the morning routine top-down, in pictures.
Switch between what you see and what your child sees.
You just say what changed. daylumi turns it into visual steps.

Frequently asked questions
What app helps an autistic child with daily routines?
daylumi is a visual daily planner that helps families make daily structure and routines clear for children, including autistic children. You plan the day with pictograms or your own photos, and your child follows it step by step in a calm child mode. daylumi is not a therapy or medical tool; it is a tool for structure.
What is a visual day planner or picture schedule for children?
A visual schedule shows the day in pictures instead of text: first breakfast, then school, then swimming. In daylumi the day runs top to bottom with the current step highlighted, so your child can see what is happening now and what comes next.
Is there an app for daily structure and routines at home?
Yes. With daylumi you build a day plan, a week plan and visual morning and evening routines. You can also describe the day in plain words, and daylumi turns it into a visual plan you review and edit first.
Which languages does daylumi support?
daylumi works in Dutch, English and French. You choose the language, including for pictogram names.
Does daylumi work on a tablet?
Yes. Child mode is designed tablet-first, with large pictures and buttons. daylumi also works on phones and computers, and your plans sync between devices.
How much does daylumi cost?
The first month is free. After that, daylumi AI costs €15.99 per month or €139 per year. Founding Members get the first 3 months free and then pay €15.99 per month.
Is daylumi right for my child?
daylumi is made for children who benefit from clear, visual and predictable steps, including many autistic children and children with ADHD. You decide which parts suit your child.
Do I need a card for the free month?
Yes. You enter your card details when you start. Billing begins automatically after the free month, but you can cancel any time before you are billed.
What happens to photos of my child?
Photos stay private and are never sent to the AI. The AI works with text only; matching words to visuals happens inside the app.
Can I use daylumi during a weekend, day trip or holiday?
Yes. The day plan and familiar pictograms travel on a phone or tablet. You can make a car journey, new place to sleep, outing or holiday day visible step by step, before and during it.
What if our fixed visual board cannot come along?
That is exactly when daylumi helps. You do not need to carry a large board, loose cards or laminated folder: the same visual structure stays portable and can be adjusted on location.
