Choosing pictograms your child understands immediately

A pictogram only works when your child recognises it without explanation. These choices decide whether a plan looks nice or actually gets used.
One image, one meaning
Always use the same image for the same activity. Alternating between two pictograms for "brushing teeth" makes the meaning uncertain.

Prefer concrete over abstract
A picture of the action itself works better than a symbol. When in doubt, let your child choose between two options and keep the one recognised first.
Own photos for people and places
For people, places and personal belongings a real photo usually beats a drawing. In daylumi those photos are stored privately in the EU and are never sent to the AI.
Build your library slowly
Start with the ten images you need every day. Add from the Sclera and Global Symbols libraries whenever a new activity shows up.
Walk through your current plan and replace every image you still have to explain.
